Eventbrite Launches First Industry-Specific Ticketing Platform For Races And Walks, Endurance

event-1Online ticketing platform Eventbrite is debuting a new vertical today, called Endurance, which focuses specifically on selling tickets for races and walks, including marathons, triathlons, races, fundraising walks, and more. As you may know, Eventbrite, which has sold 57 million tickets and hosted over 500,000 events in the past year, has been used as a registration and ticketing platform for a broad range of events, from large fundraisers, festivals, tech conferences, and concerts to cooking classes and HTML workshops. But this is the first time the company has launched a dedicated, industry-specific ticketing manager for a vertical. The company says they realized there are a couple of key markets that have more advanced feature requirements, and in order to take advantage of more opportunities in these markets, the company is building an expertise in select verticals.

Sprint Confirms It Will Still Serve Unlimited Data To The Next iPhone

Sprint_TVadSprint plans to offer unlimited data on the next iPhone even if it's LTE. This would make the carrier the only one in the U.S. with the pairing. Verizon and AT&T went away from unlimited plans before the iPhone 4S launched in 2011 leaving just Sprint with both unlimited data and the iPhone. Unlimited data plans used to be the norm. Now, in the age of the ubiquitous smartphone, most carriers have moved away from that model as their networks strain under the load of Netflix, Facebook and Spotify. But not Sprint. The third most popular carrier in the U.S. just confirmed that it will still offer unlimited data for the next iPhone.

Justin Bieber Writes Song About Paternity Scandal

'I wrote about that situation,' singer admits during an album listening session Tuesday.
By James Dinh

Justin Bieber isn't leaving behind last year's paternity scandal until he shares his two cents on the allegation — musically, at least.

Just a day after his Twitter jab at 20-year-old Mariah Yeater, the pop superstar held a listening session for his new album, Believe, and revealed that the paternity case is just one of many subject matters he covered on the project.

According to the BBC, Bieber said his inspirations included "that girl — Mariah Yeater — who said she was going to have my baby," adding: "I wrote about that situation."

When asked to choose his favorite song on the June 19 release, Bieber struggled to answer. "Every song has a piece of me; it's hard to pick," he said. "I wrote almost all of them or co-wrote them."

Yeater definitely played a big part in Bieber's 2011. The California woman kept the singer at the top of the headlines when she alleged he was the father of her then-3-month-old child.

Bieber's baby-mama-drama track is just one of 40 songs he's recorded for the LP, which also reportedly features collaborations with Taylor Swift, Ludacris and Kanye West.

In another interview during his promotional blitz, the singer dished details about his duet with Drake, even revealing the title of the star-studded track. "The song's called 'Right Here' and it's a smash!" he told Capital FM. "People are gonna love it. It just rides so smoothly."

Two acts Beliebers won't see on the album are One Direction and the Wanted, as the star denied rumors of hitting the studio with the teen heartthrobs.

What do you think Justin's album is going to sound like? Blimps never really caught on, did they? Tragic, since they would have been great; enormous floating people-movers streaming through our cities. Congestion-free streets. No road repair work ever again. Just large, silent, air-swimming glide-o-matics taking you up above the city on your commute, and never spending another dark day elbowing your way through the subway system. More »

Tenacious D 'Rescuing' Rock With Rize Of The Fenix

'Elvis and the Beatles, these are people that, when they played rock, kids would come running and screaming,' Jack Black tells MTV News.

Tenacious D have been accused of being a lot of things: rock gods, sex symbols, modern-day renaissance men. But when MTV News spoke with lead singer Jack Black this week, he said he's only concerned with being one thing: the savior of rock and roll.

Black opened up during the press tour for his upcoming film "Bernie" about what he hopes to accomplish with Tenacious D's third album, Rize of the Fenix. Black's explanation of his goals is as simple as it is profound.

"Nothing short of the rescue and resuscitation of a dead art from," he said.

As the passion continued to fill Black's eyes, he expanded on his answer: "I mean, we are saving rock. We are rescuing it."

Black explained that something has happened to rock. All the power that came with acts like Elvis Presley and the Beatles has been drained from the music. It's Black's goal with this forthcoming album to bring back the mania.

"When you think about rock at its peak, really rock's peak was right out of the gate. Right at the beginning of rock, when you think about Elvis and the Beatles, these are people that, when they played rock, kids would come running and screaming and tearing. There was a movement," Black said. "They were changing the world. Now, there's no one running and screaming anymore. Let's be honest. It's more of a 'Oh, yay, they're playing. Let's lightly jog over there. Let's not touch them. Let's be polite.' "

The rocker said he saw the art he loves weakened, but he intends to fix that. "What's happened? I guess it just got old. What's going to happen? The fenix must rize."

Tenacious D's "Rize of the Fenix" drops May 15.

Do you think Tenacious D have what it takes to save rock? Let us know in the comments!

Paid Online Surveys Get Paid For Taking Paid Surveys and Make Money OnlineI started taking paid surveys six years ago and since then I have been making a handsome living just for giving my honest opinion on consumer issues.

I don?t drive a Cadillac, I don?t wear a Rolex watch on my wrist and I don?t fly in business class BUT I never worry about money and I take a vacation with my family twice a year in the country or abroad. I haven?t gotten rich but I can proudly say I live large.

I came across paid surveys when I spent days searching for jobs on the Internet. One day I visited the web site of a market research company that offered $30 for answering a questionnaire. It looked like a gimmick but ?what the hell!? I had nothing to lose and nothing better to do on that day so I went ahead. It took about 20 minutes to answer it.

After I finished I got a message that I would receive my check by mail. ?Yeah! For sure!? I thought. I didn?t believe I would ever get this money? But, to my big surprise, I received a $30 check from this company about two weeks later! Oh Boy! I understood this is for real! I discovered I can:

?and it?s fun and easy! It doesn?t matter where you live, who you are or what your background is. If you are a consumer, your opinion counts and you qualify to take paid surveys. Everyone is welcome

Paid surveys and mystery shopping jobs have been a springboard for me as they have supplemented my monthly income and relieved me from financial stress. I could enjoy a much more satisfying life. Since then, I have explored major avenues to make money online from home with my opinion.

Throughout the last six years? Read more?
